Cremation

Cremation

More and more Canadians have chosen cremation, based on their perception of its value and simplicity. Whether you choose cremation or traditional burial, we want to ensure you are fully aware of all the options available when pre-planning.

Funerals are typically arranged for both cremation and burial options. The funeral provides a meaningful opportunity for celebration, reflection, and a proper farewell from a special gathering of beloved family and friends. Funerals can be as imaginative and unique as the people they celebrate, and your Pre-Arrangement Specialist can discuss all of the possibilities for a memorable celebration of life.

Urns
A cremation urn is a specially-designed receptacle for cremated remains. They may be crafted from a variety of materials such as bronze, or marble, and appear in a wide range of shapes, colours, and designs to suit individual preferences. Bronze, marble and glass urns are recommended because of their longevity and durability.  The urn can be placed in your local cemetery’s dedicated cremation garden, along nature walks, or in above-ground columbarium niches for permanent remembrance.

Scattering of Cremated Remains
While this romantic notion seems like a sound choice for some (and it can be), our experience has shown that many families come to regret this decision in later years, as they have lost the opportunity to create a focal point for remembrance.

Our Pre-Arrangement Specialist would be pleased to discuss this and all of the important decisions you’ll want to consider, including our new line of eco-friendly options available.
